The Swim Song though?

Right when I thought the South lost its reputation for having the hottest dances on the map to the west coast's "Jerk" Durham's Young Swift proved me wrong. I will not be surprised if club goers across the nation are dancing to "Stroke on 'em" (THE SWIM SONG) by Young Swift by the end of this fall. Gradually making air waves up the east coast "Stroke on 'em" (THE SWIM SONG) definitely has potential to become a hit. So you know the rules: check out this artists www.myspace.com/4youngswift, enjoy it, and thank me for sending you to the page.

Umph...She wants that Old thing Back!!!

Remember when Black Star (Mos Def and Talib Kweli) came out with "Brown Skin Lady", or when De La Soul came out with "Ego Trippin'"? These are the feelings M1 Platoon bring. All except one from the DMV area, these guys' sound remind me of rap from the 90's. Scoopay, Sean D, Big Chopps, and Arafat Yates each bring their own style to the group and the vibe is obvious. Headlining the Generation Next Tour, M1 Platoon are leaving the club bangers to the kiddies and making music for real music lovers. In the words of Scoopay "google that shit!". You can hear this track "So Fly" and "Wife tha Rolla" (which I adore!!!) at
http://www.myspace.com/m1platoon. But if you "google that shit" I promise you will learn more and appreciate their savorous sound even more. You know the rules: go to the site, listen to it, enjoy it, and thank me for sending you there.

WHO NEEDS SLEEP WHEN YOU HAVE THE CRANBERRY SHOW ON A CHESTER FRENCH TRACK?

Diddy definitely did not invent this remix. In respect to Bad Boy, Diddy and Ciroc and Kim and all that good stuff...STEP ASIDE PLEASE SIR!!!! From "Spaceship" to "Pixi Stix" these deck toting mofos have done it again. I'm always impressed with The Cranberry Show's work. I could go on about tracks I call my favorite such as: "Must Be a Poser" and "Mary Poppinz", but why? I have come to the conclusion that these underdogs from Milwaukee are on their way to the top. Chester French's "Sleep" has graduated from my $#!+ <--- (that word is shit) to THE $#!+ <------ all because of Arcane and Young Focus of The Cranberry Show. With the incredible Jacques Jams vol. 1: Endurance mixtape and Love The Future LP , D.A. and Max stole my attention last summer with "Pleaseure Squad" and kept it ever since.

In some world many attempt to go and most are Chuck Norresed from, The Cranberry Show ran in full force, and remixed "Sleep". If you know me you know I can come up with the most random similes and metaphors to describe my feelings. This track has me speechless, i'm going to need some help. Here is the link to Chester French's "Sleep" remixed by the o' so gnarley Cranberry Show http://chesterfrench.com/blog/2009/07/08/78-sleep-remix-by-the-cranberry-show/, here are my top 5 analogies, similes, and/or metaphors, now you're going to come up with your own and post your favorite (wit is a must)

THIS SONG IS:

1. like the California Rasins' Reunion Concert

2. better than those perfect dreams that you know something good is going to happen at the end. But you just haven't got there yet, and that dumb fwd. text wakes you up, but you somehow fall asleep finishing the dream (I know im not the only one)?

3. like waking up to N.E.R.D's "Babydoll" on a rainy day..."Its raining but atleast I woke to my favorite song in the whole wide flickin' world"

4. pretty damn close to being as cool as "Real World: Hawaii"

5. like a facebook twitter wedding reception on Myspace with Tom as the best man!!!!

I won't need your thanks for this site, i'll just smile and wave when I hear you knocking this in your car

This Guy I Call Hood from the Suburbs

This guy named Hood is not a typical artist in our generation. I have been sneaking and checking-up on Nige Hood's music just to make sure he deserves the credit I've been giving him. Yes I admit I am late this should have been one of my first blogs, but there was no way I could show you something I am not sure of. And I am absolutely positively sure that Nige Hood is something special coming out of Charlotte (QC representa), NC. If you know me, you know that I respect an artist on their grind. And what other way to see an artist's potential than through a freestyle. You would be lying to me and yourself if you said this fly guy has no skill...sooo here's the site http://www.soundclick.com/nigehood you know the rules: look 'em up, enjoy 'em, and thank me for sending you to the page.
